I enjoy all aspects of fishing, but particularly shallow water soft baiting. The fish often fight harder and swim away stronger. I’m also rather fond of Eging.

Angling Inspiration
Growing up, my whole family was keen on fishing. We spent most of our summers on the water with a rod in hand, so that’s really where it all started. From there, the passion has just continued to develop, and nowadays I draw a lot of inspiration from Youtube and other social media platforms.
My Local (Favourite Fishing Spot)
I love fishing Little Barrier, but the coastlines of Waiheke and the surrounding islands is how I spend most of my fishing time.
Why I Fish
The anticipation, of not knowing what the next fish to swim past and have a go at your lure will be. The fight, the adrenaline rush you get as you’re working that fish back to your boat. The fulfillment, of landing that fish and potentially getting the chance to see it swim off to live another day.
