WHAT BAITJUNKIE SHOULD YOU USE?
2.5" Grub
Arguably one of the most effective finesse styles in the BaitJunkie range is the 2.5” Grub. The first thing you will notice is the orientation of the tail. By positioning the tip of the tail parallel with the body of the grub, water pressure hits the inside curl forcing the tail to open and producing an irresistible swimming action. The 2.5” Grub will swim at much slower speeds, allowing the use of incredibly light jig heads when required in finesse freshwater applications. There is a wide colour range which has options for all scenarios of both clear & dirty water and overcast & sunny conditions.

2.5" Grub
2.5" Minnow
The fastest-growing bait profile in the finesse angling community is the bite sized boot tail swimbait. Quickly becoming the go-to for many freshwater anglers, the 2.5” Minnow is the first design that incorporates the signature ‘slim waist’ design. The waist segments into two parts, allowing the broad boot tail to deliver an insanely high-pitch vibration that is capable of calling in predatory fish from long distances. There is a wide colour range which has options for all scenarios of both clear & dirty water and overcast & sunny conditions.

3.2" Minnow
The 3.2” Minnow is the upsized paddle tail swimbait of the BaitJunkie lure range. A thicker body design allows the bait to accept larger hooks, while a slightly bigger boot tail produces an almighty thump to attract predators in deep or dirty water. The signature ‘slim waist’ design is prominent in this bait and delivers a swimming action that is unmatched by more traditional swimbait profiles. There is a wide colour range which has options for all scenarios of both clear & dirty water and overcast & sunny conditions.

4" Grub
The most versatile offering in the initial BaitJunkie range is the 4” Grub. With a rolled over tail design, the 4” Grub creates maximum disturbance through the water to allow predatory fish to key in on the bait even when the water is not clear. The 4” Grub can be used for both Saltwater & Freshwater applications and will appeal to the majority of species found in New Zealand waters. It is equally at home being presented close to structure or hopped off the bottom. There is a wide colour range which has options for all scenarios of both clear & dirty water and overcast & sunny conditions.

With a standard length, the 5” Jerkshad features a segmented body design and vertical tail fluke that creates an incredible ‘S’ motion swimming action both on the drop and when retrieved. The 5” Jerkshad is a versatile bait that is appropriate for a range of applications and will appeal to a majority of species found in New Zealand waters. There is a wide colour range which has options for all scenarios of both clear & dirty water and overcast & sunny conditions.

The 7” Jerkshad is ideal for use searching for large Snapper & Kingfish in the shallows around structure and weed lines, when casting into areas with swell surge and turbulent water, and when casting ahead and drifting over deeper reef systems.
